Definition of AAA:

“Animal Assisted Activities are meetings, visits and activities that include animals”

AAA increases motivation, education enjoying and more benefits increasing quality of life. AAA can be developped by profesionals or volunteers in a big variety of places in colaboration with animals that must have some special characteristics.

Example: A group of volunteer persons go to a gerontology center to have a walk with some persons and their animals.

Definition of AAE:

“AAE is a specific work in wich the animal must act with some specific criteria that are necessary in the education process."

AAE must be designed by a specialist in order to promote educational benefits. AAE can be developped in a variety of places, individually or in a group. All the process has to be carefully designed and evaluated.

Example: Some proffesionals and dog trainers use the dogs to explain the learning principles to a group of persons with risk of social exclusion.

Definition of TAA:

“AAT is a specific work in wich the animal must act with some specific criteria that are necessary in the therapeutic process."

TAA must be designed by a specialist in order to promote physical, psychological, emotional or social benefits. AAT can be developped in a variety of places, individually or in a group. All the process has to be carefully designed and evaluated.

Example: Designed by a psychologist, and together with a dog trainer, the dog is used to ameliorate affective or cognitive aspects os a goup of aged persons.
