Our projects in 2007:

• Informative objective: conferences and exhibitions that we use to anounce in our section "New", with the support of the Council of Bilbao.
• Bask language translating books about dog training. With the support of the Diputación Foral de Vizcaya / Bizkaiko Foru Aldundia, Culture department andKns Editions.
• Objetivo formativo:
  • Course in Bolunta: about positive training, with the support of the Council of Bilbao.
  • Course in Bolunta: About positive training and Animal Assisted Therapy, with the support of the Council of Bilbao.
    This free course will take place in Bilbao in september and october 2007.
  • Curso en Bidesari: Course about positive training
    In colaboration with Bidesari. April-june 2007.
  • Course in the prison of Basauri: 3 days course (may and june 2007) about postive methods and clicker training.
• Assistance dogs:
• AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy) in two houses for old people. In Erandio (Vizcaya) and in Egogain- Eibar (Guipúzcoa), with the support of the Council of Eibar.
• AAA (Actividades Asistidas con Animales) in colaboration with Bidesari. Information .

Nika is a female labrador retriever who works with old people and with people with social exclusion risk. She works in the Egogain Center (Eibar), in the San Jose de Erandio Center and in all the activities with Bidesari. Nika enjoys playing and being pet. She also gets lots of food rewards. In the San José Center, all her grand mothers have her picture in their rooms. The work with Nika is always supervised by a psichologist, who determinates the objectives and activities of the sessions. The wellfare of Nika is very important, his owner has to know her very well si the dog can enjoy her work. A good comunication between dog and owner is very important in AAT programmes.

Txispa is a golden retriever three years old who works in AAT for some months in the Egogain Center , Eibar and in AAA with people with social exclusion risk in the activities with Bidesari. Assistants relax, participate and express themselves a lot seeing Txispa playing and asking to be pet. A good socialization with persons is very important for the dog, so she can accept happyly so many people.

Nika and Txispa have entered into the prison of Basauri, something not very usual!
